ISSA Update on COVID-19

The ISSA released the following letter from Executive Director John Barrett:

As we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic together as an industry, it is my duty to keep you informed about how your association, ISSA, is working to serve you and leveraging our
collective voice for the cleaning industry in these challenging times.

Yesterday, I had the distinct honor to represent ISSA on a White House Communications Call with President Donald Trump, who called upon executives from industrial supply retailers and wholesalers regarding the national response to COVID-19. The President thanked us for providing the goods Americans rely on every day and expressed his gratitude to the incredible employees who are working tirelessly to that end.

Interclean Amsterdam 2020 Postponed

In view of the recent developments as a result of the global spread of COVID-19 and, after consulting its exhibition committee, key stakeholders, exhibitors and visitors of the cleaning and hygiene industry, RAI Amsterdam has announced that Interclean Amsterdam will be rescheduled. The new dates will be confirmed by March 20, 2020.

In their statement, RAI Amsterdam noted the rapid spread of the Corona virus has led to increased travel restrictions from authorities. These restrictions, as well as those imposed within companies, would result in materially reduced attendance of the show. To maintain the international reach and quality of the event, it was determined to set a new date for the event.

Interbrush Officially Moves to May 2022

In response to the rising number of cases of persons infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Europe and worldwide, Messe Freiburg has decided to postpone Interbrush to May 0f 2022. Interbrush is the leading international trade fair for the brush and broom industry and was originally set to take place from May 6-8, 2020.

Interbrush 2020 Decision: March 18

Messe Freiburg released a statement on Wednesday that indicates a final decision and announcement on Interbrush 2020 will be made on March 18. The statement also says Messe Freiburg is coordinating with exhibitors and industry associations to discuss alternative dates.
