ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION: MARCH 24
The ABMA also announced today that it will be facilitating a member round table discussion of COVID-19. Meeting details:
In this meeting we will have discussion on member’s plans and actions regarding the rapid changes coming to all of our members regarding state and federal responses to COVID-19. We will discuss such areas as:
- If your state has instituted “shelter-in-place” protocols, how do you make sure you are on the “essential business” list?
- What steps have you taken or are you planning on taking to prepare for a widespread outbreak in your area?
- Policy changes in the factory?
- Expanding sick pay?
- Relaxing of the attendance policy?
- Automatic shutdown for 14 days if a case is found inside your business?
- Additional cleaning procedures?
- Are there any changes to the way you conduct business that you are making?
- Pulling back customer terms (because you’re worried they won’t be able to pay their bills)?
- Holding less or more inventory?
- Taking additional loans from bank just to have cash on hand to weather the storm?
- What interruptions to your supply chain have you seen and/or are you predicting?
