We are also celebrating a great year for the website after our launch into online news in April of 2019. Since then, the brushwaremag.com website has grown steadily and experience 300 percent increase in monthly unique visitors and continues to trend up. Todtnau’s 250-Year Black Forest Legacy

In the Black Forest of Germany 250 years ago, Todtnau was the cradle of brushes and brooms, which were made with beech wood and pig bristles. Brushes were already known in antiquity as findings in Egypt and Greece proved that brushes were used for cleaning, clothes and hair care. North of the Alps, discoveries from Roman military camps also show that brushes were used to care for soldiers and horses. Already around the year 1400 brush making was known to exist in Germany in Nuremberg.

Boucherie Borghi Group: Interplastica 2020

The Boucherie Borghi Group will exhibit at Interplastica 2020 to be held January 28-31, 2020, in Moscow, Russia.  Interplastica Moscow is an international specialized exhibition for plastics and rubber processing and the region’s leading industry platform. It also provides a representative overview of machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry.

Malish Corporation Aquires Abtex

The Malish Corporation, based in Mentor, Ohio, acquired the assets of Abtex Corporation of Dresden, N.Y., on December 6, 2019. In a letter to customers and suppliers announcing the acquisition, Malish President and CEO, Jeff Malish says the acquisition of Abtex Corporation will further diversify The Malish Corporation’s product offering. The talent and resources provided by the acquisition will enhance the Malish Corporation’s and Abtex’s ability to provide the highest quality products and services to its’ customers.

Looking Ahead to Interbrush 2020: May 6-8, 2020

May 2020 marks the 13th edition of Interbrush, the most important trade fair and the key global meeting point for the brush and broom industry. Interbrush 2020 will open its doors in Freiburg, Germany with approximately 200 exhibitors from 26 countries presenting across some 21,500 m2 of exhibition area while showcasing raw materials, semi-finished products and machines. At least 7,500 trade visitors from 90 countries are expected to visit the event, which is held every four years and brings in 10,000 additional overnight stays to Freiburg’s hotels.

Anyone already planning to visit the trade fair who would like to order reduced-price entry tickets online can do so easily and securely online. “Print at home” tickets will be exchanged directly for visitor badges at the entrance to the trade fair.
