A Strategic Alliance in the Industrial Brushmaking Sector

Spazzolificio Bustese, a company with decades of experience in the design and production of industrial technical brushes, has joined SIT – Società Italiana Tecnospazzole Spa, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers in the sector, active since 1908 and guided by the fifth generation of the Acquaderni family.

This strategic alliance brings together two companies that share not only technical know-how and manufacturing excellence, but above all a strong alignment in values: care for people, long-term vision, and a continuous drive toward quality and innovation.

Spazzolificio Bustese will continue to operate with full production autonomy under the leadership of Tullio Tellini, who remains CEO and a key reference point for his team and customers. The company becomes part of a broader industrial group while maintaining its identity, organization, and deep customer relationships.

From the integration of the two teams—now comprising 160 professionals—comes a combined offering of nearly 5,000 unique brush solutions per year. These products serve a highly diversified customer base across more than 70 countries, addressing the needs of sectors such as printing, textiles, automotive, aerospace, and precision engineering.

“Ongoing Innovation is the principle that guides us,” says Alessandro Acquaderni, CEO of SIT, “and this partnership reflects that mindset perfectly. We are joining forces with a company that shares our commitment to quality, our passion for industrial brushes, and our belief in building long-lasting, human-centered business relationships.”

Tullio Tellini, who spoke to the SIT team during a recent event, described the agreement as “a new chapter driven by deep emotion, shared purpose, and enthusiasm to grow together.”

Together, the companies aim to strengthen customer service, expand the range of high-performance solutions, and promote professional development across the organization, while continuing to invest in product evolution and operational excellence.

When business decisions are rooted in values, they transcend strategy. Spazzolificio Bustese’s decision to join a fellow Italian, family-owned company—despite interest from international players—sends a strong message. In a time of growing global uncertainty, preserving value creation and industrial capability within Europe is a conscious choice, based on shared ethics and a long-term industrial vision.

As Alessandro Acquaderni, who leads SIT alongside his brothers Marco and Paolo, their father Andrea, and a close-knit management team, puts it:

“People and values made all the difference. What started as a commercial collaboration has evolved into a strong, future-oriented partnership—built not only on complementary capabilities, but on a deep mutual understanding.”

The union of these two companies also sends a strong and positive message to the industrial ecosystem of family-run businesses: it demonstrates that manufacturing tradition and long-term vision are not in conflict, but can thrive together. It is a clear example of how heritage and innovation can reinforce one another—renewing industrial excellence without losing its soul.
