ISSA’s National Cleaning Week Starts March 27

National Cleaning Week is just around the corner! The week-long event hosted by ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, takes place March 27 – April 2, 2022. National Cleaning Week provides an opportunity to recognize cleaning professionals, promote legislation that supports the industry, get involved in philanthropy, highlight the Value of Clean® , and more.

“The pandemic has demonstrated the essential role that cleaning professionals like custodians, housekeepers, and environmental service workers play in keeping people safe,” said ISSA Executive Director John Barrett. “Because cleanliness impacts every industry, everyone can get involved in celebrating the value and achievements of these essential workers and advocating for a cleaner and healthier world.”

National Cleaning Week offers something for everyone, including:

  • Advocacy – Legislation is key for protecting the well-being of cleaning professionals and employers. The ISSA Clean Advocacy Summit in conjunction with the Workplace Solutions Summit hosted by the Independent Office Products and Furniture Dealers Association (IOPFDA) , a Division of ISSA, takes place March 30-31, 2021. The in-person event will allow participants to learn about public-policy issues impacting the future of the industry and meet with Congressional offices in Washington, D.C. to advocate for change.
  • Education – Membership in ISSA provides countless opportunities for industry professionals to further their knowledge. During National Cleaning Week, ISSA is offering membership and resource discounts as well as scholarship and learning opportunities. There is also a chance to win a free all-access pass to ISSA Show North America 2022 in Chicago, October 10-13, 2022. The annual show enables attendees to discover the latest cleaning innovations, access educational sessions, meet with peers and industry experts, and more.
  • Philanthropy – Cleaning for a Reason, an ISSA Charities™ signature program, engages with residential cleaning companies to provide free home cleanings to cancer patients. National Cleaning Week is the perfect time for individuals to donate and for organizations to become corporate partners.

“Numerous associations and organizations have committed their support to National Cleaning Week, helping us raise awareness of the importance of clean,” added Barrett. “We look forward to celebrating together.”
