FEIBP Announces New President

The FEIBP held its annual General Assembly as a virtual meeting on October 15, 2020, and Peter Langenegger (Ebnat AG, Switzerland) stepped down as president after serving a three-year term. Andrew McIlroy of Perlon GmbH was welcomed as the new president and is the first president to represent the suppliers’ section of the federation. McIlroy is well-known and much respected for his commitment to the FEIBP and has been a board member for many years. He is the sales and marketing director at Perlon and will serve a two-year term as president.

ABMA 2020 Update: Interbrush Decision in 10 Days

The 2020 ABMA Convention concluded last night with a game-filled reception that moved indoor due to unseasonably cool weather in St. Petersburg, Fla. The reception featured dartboards, shuffleboard, virtual reality head sets, giant beer pong, beer tasting and a caricature artist.

While the reception provided a great way to celebrate the end of a busy week, discussions still centered around the Coronavirus and the impact on Interbrush 2020. During the Thursday morning session, Daniel Strowitzki of Messe Freiburg announced that a decision on whether or not to postpone would be made in 10 days. That means all Interbrush attendees and exhibitors should expect a final announcement by March 15, 2020.

Update: 61st FEIBP Congress Held in Lucerne

The 61st FEIBP Congress held in Lucerne, Switzerland, wrapped up this past Saturday and our European correspondent Katharina Goldbeck-Hoerz answered a few quick questions on the success of the event. Her full report will be in the next issue of Brushware.

What was your favorite segment from the Congress?
The theme “Together We Are Stronger” weaved like a red thread through the congress.
