Hillbrush Appoints Food Manufacturing Hygiene Expert

Mariane HodgkinsonHillbrush, the UK’s largest manufacturer of brushware and hygienic cleaning tools for the food industry has appointed Mariane Hodgkinson, an expert in food safety and hygienic manufacturing design as a consultant.

With almost 20 years of food industry experience, Hodgkinson will be working with Hillbrush to provide expert advice as it further expands its range of hygienic cleaning tools for food manufacturing settings. She will also provide insight and training on areas such as preparing for audits and cleaning best practices which will be available to Hillbrush’s customers in due course.

Hillbrush Makes Further Injection Moulding Investment

Hillbrush, the UK’s largest manufacturer of brushware and hygienic cleaning tools has invested in a second large-scale injection moulding machine at its site at Mere in Wiltshire, U.K.

The 1000 tonne Haitian MARS 2 injection moulding machine will enable Hillbrush to venture into new trade moulding business, fulfilling larger tooling projects that the company would otherwise have to outsource, such as snow shovels, warning A-frame signs, multi-impression dustpans and buckets.

Hillbrush has appointed Tim O’Brien as business development manager to further develop its business in the US. As an experienced salesperson, O’Brien has spent the last 12 years specializing in selling hygiene tools, including Hillbrush lines, to food manufacturers, wineries and breweries throughout North America. He will be based on the West Coast at the heart of the US food industry.

Hillbrush Invests in Injection Moulding Machine

Hillbrush has made significant investment in a new state-of-the-art 1000 tonne press injection moulding machine at its manufacturing site in Wiltshire, England. The injection moulding machine, which has a pick and place robot mounted to it, is capable of producing Hillbrush parts efficiently and will significantly increase Hillbrush’s in-house manufacturing capabilities and output. Previously outsourced, the new large-scale machine will now enable Hillbrush to manufacture larger products such as snow shovels, warning A frame signs, multi-impression dust pans and buckets.

Hillbrush Managing Director Appointed to ABMA Board

Charlie Coward, Managing Director at Hillbrush, the UK’s largest manufacturer of brushes and specialist hygienic cleaning tools, has been voted on to the Board of Directors of the American Brush Manufacturing Association (ABMA) at its recent Annual Convention in Nassau, Bahamas. Coward is the first European to be voted onto the ABMA’s Board and has been a long-standing supporter of the ABMA, following in the footsteps of his father Philip Coward attending the ABMA annual convention since 2009.
