ORBEX Wins FEIBP Innovation Award 2026
Zahn has received the FEIBP Innovation Award 2026 for ORBEX, a modular brush system designed to adapt to a variety of working situations and application requirements. At the heart of ORBEX is the innovative Ball-Click joint, which allows the brush head to be positioned at a range of stable angles. The system is designed to create new possibilities for comfortable, precise and ergonomic work, particularly in applications where conventional brush geometries can be limiting.
ORBEX also features a modular design built around a reusable holder that can be combined with different interchangeable brush heads. This allows users to configure the system for individual applications and a wide range of tasks. Rather than requiring a completely new brush for every application, the handle and brush head can be matched according to the specific job.
According to Zahn, the idea behind ORBEX grew from an effort to further develop existing brush solutions while introducing new functional possibilities. The company developed and optimized the system step by step, from the design of the mechanism and selection of suitable components through practical implementation.
The innovation was recognized by the European Brush Federation (FEIBP) with its 2026 Innovation Award.
For Zahn, the honor serves as recognition of the potential to combine traditional brush manufacturing expertise with new technical approaches and product innovation.
