Calling All Innovators: Submit Your Nomination for the 2025 ABMA Innovation Award
The ABMA is calling on member companies to showcase their groundbreaking products for the prestigious 2025 ABMA William A. Cordes Innovation Excellence Award. Commonly referred to as “The Willie,” this award honors the most innovative manufactured product, component, or service in the brush industry. All qualifying entries will be featured at the 2025 ABMA Annual Convention, to be held March 25-28, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Austin, Texas.
Named after William A. Cordes, the ABMA’s first President (1917-1928), this award highlights excellence in innovation across the Brush, Broom, Mop, and Roller Industry. It’s an unparalleled opportunity for industry leaders to gain recognition for their cutting-edge innovations.

Eligibility
Eligible entries include:
- Manufactured products: Created by a member company in their country of origin or an owned facility abroad, with legal rights to display country-of-origin labels.
- Marketed products: Those for which the member company is the creative source (holder of the patent, trademark, or copyright, or originator of the concept).
- Components and services: Eligible if they meet the manufacturing or marketing criteria mentioned above.
2025 Submission Deadline: November 30, 2024
To qualify, products, components, or services must have been introduced to the market within 18 months prior to the ABMA 2025 convention. All manufactured and marketed items relating to the Broom, Brush, Mop, and Roller Industry are welcome to compete.
What to Submit
Entries should include the following:
- A signed nomination form
- Actual production pieces
- Supporting documents such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, or design drawings
- Proof of marketplace introduction within the past 18 months (certification letters, warranties, etc.)
- Optional: A one-page summary describing the product’s significance
