Service, connection, networking, fun and … really ugly sweaters!
The ABMA Emerging Leaders group is inviting members to an hour of virtual fun during a year-end Holiday Happy Hour to be held via Zoom on December 16, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST.
For the event, attendees are asked to be prepared with the following:
- An ugly sweater! And of course, it must be worn!
- An account of what it was each attendee did to give back, pay it forward or serve others.
For this Holiday Happy Hour event, attendees are invited to spend a moment and reflect on a way to give back, pay it forward or serve in some way that will make a difference in the lives of others. And then the Emerging Leaders group asks that members act on that reflection and go out and serve the community. During the Happy Hour of Really Ugly Sweaters, the group will be sharing their acts of service and giving to brighten the holiday spirit. Some ideas might include:
- Volunteering in a soup kitchen for a few hours
- Dropping some toys off to an orphanage
- Picking up trash at your local park
- Participating in a food drive
- Donating to your favorite charity
