Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Acquires Minnesota Manufacturer

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), a leader in aluminum and copper-based alloy castings, has acquired the assets of castings manufacturer DEE, Inc. in Crookston, Minnesota. The acquisition will expand WAF’s current operations while creating new opportunities with the increased capacity.

“We are thrilled to welcome DEE into the WAF family,” says WAF CEO Sachin Shivaram. “DEE has a dedicated and skilled workforce that operates much of the same equipment as our Manitowoc plant, making it a natural extension of our business as we look to meet the growth in our customers’ demand for aluminum castings. It also creates new opportunities as manufacturing continues to evolve, so we envision significant growth at DEE as well as Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry.” Shivaram added that WAF will seek to add 30 new positions at DEE as production grows.

Franklin Automation Now Part of Neyret Group

On September 27, 2021, after 31 years of operating as a family business, the Kigyos family decided to sell a majority share of Franklin Automation to the Neyret Group of France. Neyret Group is also a family-owned business and one of the world’s premier suppliers of advanced automation systems. Specifically, Neyret is known as a highly successful supplier of high-speed Intermittent and Continuous Motion assembly and testing systems with two modern machine-building operations in France, a sales office in China and now a third machine building operation in North America. Loos & Co. Acquire Sheaves, Inc.

Product Lines Will Remain; Operations Have Moved to Naples, Fla.

Loos & Co., Inc. Cableware Division, located in Naples, Fla., has announced the purchase of Sheaves, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributer of pulleys and sheaves to the wire and wire rope industry.  With the completion of the asset purchase transaction at the end of December, 2019, Loos & Co., Inc. Cableware Division has broadened the solutions it can provide to customers.

The acquisition of Sheaves, Inc. unifies three brands known in the wire and wire rope industry under the Loos & Co., Inc. product umbrella.
