Informa Markets’ ISSA Show North America today announced the show is confirmed to take place in person November 15–18, 2021, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. With a commitment to the health and wellbeing of all attendees, robust protocols have been put into place to ensure a safe and responsible event.
After the postponement of the 2020 trade show, ISSA Show Canada will reconvene virtually this June with a focus on educating and inspiring the industry. Last year’s event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and provincial restrictions across Ontario which prohibited large gatherings. This year, the in-person show had been slated for June 9-11, but due to the ongoing impact of the pandemic, ISSA Show Canada will be going virtual on June 17, 2021. ISSA Canada sincerely looks forward to reconnecting and welcoming participants to this great event.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the ISSA has announced that the ISSA Show North America 2020 is being relocated. Previously scheduled for October 26-29 in Chicago, the show will now take place November 16-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, today introduced its GBAC STAR™ facility accreditation program on cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention. It is the industry’s only outbreak prevention, response, and recovery accreditation. GBAC STAR establishes requirements to assist facilities with work practices, protocols, procedures, and systems to control risks associated with infectious agents, such as SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. Accreditation criteria and facility applications are now available at www.gbac.org.
In response to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) international pandemic, ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, has launched the GBAC Fundamentals Online Course. This virtual seminar from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC), a division of ISSA, is designed to empower cleaning professionals to become Microbial Warriors™. The course will train attendees to prepare for, respond to, and recover from biohazards in the workplace. Participants will learn infection and contamination control measures for infectious disease outbreak situations such as the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Individuals who successfully complete the course within 30 days of enrollment will receive a Certificate of Completion from GBAC.

Yesterday, I had the distinct honor to represent ISSA on a White House Communications Call with President Donald Trump, who called upon executives from industrial supply retailers and wholesalers regarding the national response to COVID-19. The President thanked us for providing the goods Americans rely on every day and expressed his gratitude to the incredible employees who are working tirelessly to that end.
Milwaukee Dustless Brush/Gordon Brush received ISSA’s Diamond Anniversary Award at the 2019 ISSA Convention held at the Las Vegas, Nevada convention center on November 19-21, 2019. The award was presented to Ken Rakusin, President and CEO of Gordon Brush by John Garfinkel, former Executive Director of ISSA. “Ken, on behalf the entire ISSA Association, we would like to thank you for your continuous support for the past sixty years,” said John Garfinkel.
ISSA, the worldwide cleaning association, and its ISSA Show North America event partner Informa Markets today launched the speaker proposal submission process for the ISSA Show North America 2020 trade show, which takes place October 26-29, 2020, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Professionals who serve and represent the professional cleaning and facility maintenance industries may submit proposals via the ISSA Show website for the industry-leading education program at ISSA Show North America 2020.
