Manufacturers may be surprised to learn that there are an estimated 27 million “hidden workers” in the U.S., according to a recent report by Harvard Business School and Accenture.

Hidden workers are those who are unemployed or underemployed and who are eager to get a job or increase their working hours but are consistently overlooked by employers.
