Veterans Training Series: Understanding Veteran Benefits and Resources

Recognizing this potential, the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association is conducting is conducting a comprehensive training series led by the Ohio Department of Veterans Services aimed at equipping employers with the necessary knowledge to tap into this valuable talent pool.
The upcoming session, titled “Veterans Benefits and Resources,” scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m., will delve into the various benefits and resources available to veterans. Led by experts from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, this session aims to provide essential information and address any queries regarding the recruitment and retention of veterans in the workforce.

The training series spans nine sessions and is tailored for manufacturing managers and executives, HR managers, policy implementers, and Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) staff and their support partners. Each session is certified for 1.0 hour of SHRM continuing education credit, emphasizing its professional value.
Registration for the event is open and free of charge for manufacturers and ISP staff. Interested individuals can register on the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) website. By registering, participants acknowledge that the sponsoring organization will have access to their name, title, and company information.
The Ohio Department of Veterans Services’ workforce team, serving as the subject-matter expert for the training series, empowers Ohio employers by imparting knowledge of military skills and culture.
