The new Z.RAY offers precise and hygienic manufacturing for wooden toothbrushes

Oral hygiene starts with a clean toothbrush and this is especially true when it comes to the increasingly popular versions made from renewable raw wood materials like maple, bamboo, birch, hornbeam and teak. With the new Z.RAY, ZAHORANSKY has introduced the next logical development for the hygienic manufacture of wooden toothbrushes. With a separate drill unit and attached suction unit, more than 800 holes per minute can be drilled within a protective shield. The resulting wood dust is automatically extracted. This means that up to 35 handles can be produced per minute. And, the Z.RAY is compatible with machines from the Z.SHARK and Z.ORCA ranges.

Wooden toothbrushes are an ecologically sensible alternative to the conventional plastic versions. As a result, the demand for what used to be only a niche product is steadily increasing worldwide. The new Z.RAY fully satisfies manufacturer’s requirements for customized models in large volumes. Different hole patterns with diameters from 1.0 to 3.0 mm and depths of 2.5 to 3.8 mm can be used. The Z.RAY is also flexible when it comes to feeding in the previously treated wooden handles: this can be done either manually or automatically.
