The American Brush Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is pleased to announce a new opportunity for Emerging Leaders within the industry. The 2024 ABMA Convention, slated to occur from March 19-22 at Amelia Island, Florida, will offer a grant to ABMA Emerging Leaders who would like to attend the event.
This $3,000 grant is specifically designed to encourage the attendance of Emerging Leaders who have not previously participated in an ABMA Convention. The grant covers a delegate fee, accommodation for three nights (Tuesday to Friday) and a $1,000 travel allowance.

- Includes: (1) Delegate Fee, (3) Nights Hotel (Tues-Fri), $1,000 Travel Allowance
Deadline: January 15, 2024: Prospective candidates are required to submit a comprehensive application packet via email to tkervin@abma.org by January 15, 2024. Applications received after this date will not be considered for the 2024 ABMA Convention Grant.
Qualifying Criteria:
- ABMA Membership: The applicant’s company must be an ABMA Member in good standing.
- Industry Experience: Emerging Leaders must have a minimum of two years of experience in the brush industry and must not have attended an ABMA Convention before.
- Sponsor/Mentor: Each candidate must have a sponsor/mentor within their member company. This individual is expected to attend the 2024 ABMA Convention as a delegate at their own expense, accompanying the candidate and assisting in introducing them to ABMA members and activities.
- Age Limit: Emerging Leaders must be under 45 years of age.
Application Materials: Candidates are required to submit the following documents:
- 2024 Convention Grant Application Form
- Current Resumé
- Introductory Video (approximately five minutes) that includes background, experiences, current and future goals and why attending the 2024 ABMA Convention will contribute to their professional development.
- Letter of nomination and recommendation from the sponsor/mentor of their member company.
Submission Deadline: All application materials must be submitted to tkervin@abma.org by January 15, 2024.
Winner Announcement: The recipient of the 2024 ABMA Convention Grant will be announced during the week of January 29, 2024.
