VDPB General Meeting to Bring Brush Industry Leaders Together This Week in Herborn
The Association of German Brush Producers (VDPB) will hold its General Meeting this week from May 7-8, 2026, in Herborn, Germany. The event will feature an industry tour, association meetings and a keynote presentation focused on global geopolitical developments.
The event will begin on May 7 with a visit to Roth Composite Machinery in Dautphetal-Buchenau. Activities will include a reception, company presentation and facility tour following a board meeting held earlier in the day by separate invitation.
Following the company visit, attendees will travel to Schloss Hotel Herborn for an evening dinner and networking event. The General Meeting will continue May 8 at Schloss Hotel Herborn with association business sessions, presentations and guest lectures.
A featured highlight of the program will be a keynote lecture titled “Outlook on the Geopolitical Situation: Between Dialogue and Confrontation” presented by Prof. Dr. Eberhard Sandschneider, Professor of Chinese Politics and International Relations at the Free University of Berlin and partner at Berlin Global Advisors.
The May 8 schedule will also include a presentation on World Brush Expo 2028 by Project Manager Klaus Van Cauwenberghe, as well as discussion time reserved for current industry topics.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting, held May 15–16, 2025, attracted more than 40 participants. The event included a company visit hosted by Weber Brush Systems in Bad Camberg. During the 2025 members’ meeting at the Dom Hotel Limburg, Daniel Zahn was elected chairman, succeeding Matthias Peveling. Dr. Urte Rietdorf was elected deputy chair, while Torsten Hildebrand was re-elected to his role.
Additionally, Caroline Schroth and Matthias Peveling were elected to the board, while Gigi Haug, Andrew McIlroy and Peter Spitzer were re-elected.
